            Targeting or Excluding Previous Participants

There are many cases in which you may want to target (include only) or exclude previous participants for a run.
For example, you may want to only allow participants who did a previous run in cases where you are doing a follow up study. Or in cases where you are doing multiple versions of the same activity you may want to exclude participants.
There are two ways to do this, one is by creating a subsequent run in a project (where you’ll be prompted to specify) and the other is using custom attributes.

            Subsequent Runs

When you create a subsequent run within a project you’ll be asked how you want to handle previous participants.

            Custom Attributes

You can set custom attributes individually or bulk in the participant tab of the run interface or dynamically using URL query strings.
You can then target them in the “custom attributes” section of the advanced pane in a run. See Targeting Participants Using Custom Attributes.
